DESTINATION: GUWAHATI –BHALUKPONG –DIRANG –TAWANG –BOMDILA –KAZIRANGA –KOHIMA IMPHAL–AIZWAL – AGARTALA –SHILLONG –CHERRAPUNJEE – MAWLYNNONG


Day 01: GUWAHATI

  • Guwahati arrival. Guwahati is known as city of temple.
  • Directly proceed to world famous Kamakhya Temple, then check in the hotel.
  • After lunch, you can visit some local sight-seeing like Umananda temple, Tirupati temple, Basista ashram and Sankardev Kalakshetra. 
  • Overnight stay.

Day 02: GUWAHATI –SHILLONG  

  • Morning after breakfast departs for Shillong “the Scotland of the East”. Arrive and check in at hotel. In the evening, you can visit---
  • Cethadrel Church: The Cathedral Church of Mary Help of Christians is the principal place of worship of the over 3, 00,000 strong Catholics of the Shillong Archdiocese.
  • Lady Hydri Park: Lady Hydari Park, owes its existence to the erstwhile nature loving first lady of the state, Lady Hydari the wife of Governor of Assam (It used to be a big state).
  • Ward’s Lake where you can enjoy boating,
  • Overnight stay at hotel.

Day 03: SHILLONG –CHERRAPUNJEE –SHILLONG  

  • After breakfast, proceed to Cherrapunji, the wettest place in the world. There are lots of spectacular view points on the way to Cherrapunji. The Cherrapunji is a land of wonderful waterfalls and beautiful valleys.
  • Elephant falls: The Elephant Falls located just outside the Shillong city at a distance of approx 10 kms provides a unique sight wherein the water column carves out its way and surrenders to gravity at two successive locations. 
  • Shillong Peak: The Shillong peak stands at a whopping 2000mtr above sea level. The peak dedicated to the city is also the highest point in the state.
  • Some of the Main Attractions are the- Ramakrishna Mission Museum, First Presbyterian Church, Mawsmai Fall, Nohkalikai Falls, and Eco Park etc.
  • Mawsmai caves near Cherrapunji  is an experience in itself, the limestone caves are well lit up. But if you want to thrill yourself more, climb up to the caves hitch are not lit up, they are guaranteed to spook you as one has to crawl their way in.
  • Overnight stay at hotel in Shillong.

Day 04: SHILLONG –MAWLYNNONG –SHILLONG

  • After breakfast visit Mawlynnong, the cleanest village in Asia. It is situated 90 Km. From Shillong and besides the picturesque village, offers many interesting sights such as the living Root Bridge and another strange natural phenomenon of a boulder balancing on another rock. It is along the Indo-Bangladesh border. This cute and colorful little village is known for its cleanliness.
  • Overnight stay at hotel.

Day 05: SHILLONG –KAZIRANGA

  • After breakfast directly proceed to Kaziranga National Park.
  • Evening free for leisure.
  • Overnight stay at Resort.

Day 06:  KAZIRANGA NATIONAL PARK

  • Early morning Elephant safari in the Jungle.
  • After breakfast, visit the Tea and coffee Garden, Ganesh Temple and Karbi anglong River.
  • Evening, Jeep Safari in the Jungle.
  • Overnight stay at Resort.

Day 7: KAZIRANGA –TEZPUR

  • After breakfast, directly proceed to Tezpur.
  • Tezpur  (Assamese: তেজপুৰ) is a city and the administrative headquarters and municipal board of Sonitpur district in the state of Assam in northeastern India. Tezpur is an ancient city on the banks of the river Brahmaputra and is the largest of the north bank towns with a population exceeding 100,000. It is situated 175 kilometers (109 mi) north east of Guwahati, considered to be the "Cultural Capital of Assam".
  • Places of interest : Chitralakha Udyan, Rock Garden, Agnigarh,  KoliaBhomora Setu, Padum Pukhuri and Mahabhairav Temple

Day 08:  TEZPUR –DIRANG  

  • After Breakfast proceed to Dirang.
  • Dirang: is a charming city located in north-eastern state of Arunachal Pradesh. With beautiful apple orchards and impressive sheep breeding farms, Dirang holidays draw travellers for a welcome break. 
  • Check in to your hotel.
  • Evening you are free for leisure. You can visit local sightseeing.
  • Overnight stay at hotel.

Day 09: DIRANG - TAWANG

  • After breakfast, drive to Tawang via Dirang.
  • Selapass: It is a narrow pass in the mountainous regions of Arunachal Pradesh, at an elevation of 13700 ft above mean sea level and it signals our entry into the Tawang valley.
  • There are many scenic spots on the way to Tawang.  
  • Overnight stay at hotel. 

Day 10: TAWANG

  • Tawang is a hill station situated at an altitude of 3500 meters. It is one of the most spectacular destinations for any tourist.
  • It’s a land of Monpa Tribes.
  • The main attraction of Tawang is the 400 years old Tawang Monastery, War Memorial, PTSO lake.
  • Overnight stay at hotel.

Day 11: TAWANG – BOMDILA

  • After breakfast transfer to Bomdila.
  • On the way visit Tippi On the banks of the river Bharali at an elevation of 190 mtrs is Tipi, an orchid atrium with over 7500 orchids. On display are some of the finest species with names like the Dainty Lady's Slipper or the more formal sounding Dendrobium. Arunachal has the largest range of orchids in the country.
  • Continue your drive and do not forget to keep your cameras handy as you cross beautiful waterfalls and get some spectacular views.
  • Early evening visit the regional apple Nursery, kiwi farm, dzong (fort), hot water spring.
  • Evening check out from hotel and proceed to Bomdila

Day 12: BOMDILA – KAZIRANGA NATIONAL PARK

  • After breakfast directly proceed to Kaziranga National Park.
  • Evening free for leisure.
  • Overnight stay.

Day 13: KAZIRANGA NATIONAL PARK –KOHIMA

  • After breakfast, proceed to Kohima,
  • Evening you are free for leisure. You can visit local sightseeing.
  • Overnight stay at hotel.

Day 14: KOHIMA

  • Kohima world War- II Cemetery
  • Kohima Cathedral (Biggest in Asia).
  • State Museum.
  • Naga Heritage Complex Kisama.
  • Dzukou Valley.
  • Overnight stay at hotel.

Day 15: KOHIMA –IMPHAL

  • After breakfast, proceed to Imphal.
  • Evening you are free for leisure. You can visit local sightseeing.
  • Overnight stay at hotel.
  • Manipur State Museum
  • Sri Sri Govindajee Temple.
  • War Cemeteries.
  • Loktak Lake.
  • INA War Memorial.
  • Sahid-Minar-Imphal
  • Overnight stay at hotel.

Day 17: IMPHAL –SILCHAR  

  1. After breakfast, proceed to Silchar,
  2. Evening you are free for leisure.
  3. Overnight stay at hotel.

Day 18: SILCHAR –ALZWAL

  • After breakfast, proceed to Aizwal,
  • Evening you are free for leisure.
  • You can visit local sightseeing.
  • Overnight stay at hotel.

Day 19: ALZWAL

  • Places of Interest – Lengpui Village, Tlawng River, etc. The duration of travel from Lengpui to Aizawl is 1 hour. Lunch at Aizawl. Local sightseeing at Aizawl. Visit to State Museum, Millennium Centre, Solomon’s Temple, Sunset at Durtlang. Aizawl by night.
  •  Overnight at Aizawl

Day 20: ALZWAL –SILCHAR

  • After breakfast directly proceed to Silchar and overnight stay at hotel.

Day 21 : SILCHAR –AGARTALA

  • After breakfast directly proceed to Agartala and overnight stay at hotel.

Day 22: AGARTALA

  • Agartala is the capital of Tripura. Tripura is a erstwhile princely state. Pollution free, eco friendly environment and pleasant weather of this panoramic state is inhabited largely by 19 Tribes, Bengali and Manipuri etc. communities. Following are the places of a tourist interest in the state of Tripura.
  • Places of interest: Jaganatha Temple, Ujjayanta Palace, Tripura Sundari Temple, Rudra Sagar Lake, Neer Mahal, Rabindra Kanan, Banuban, Bihar and Bangladesh Border.
  • Evening free for leisure.
  • Overnight stay.

Day 23: AGARTALA –HOME

  • After breakfast, proceed to airport for onward journey.
