Meghalaya Adventure Tour – Cherrapunji Trekking with Living Root Bridge

After breakfast, drive to Cherrapunji (Sohra), one of the wettest places on Earth. En route, visit Elephant Falls and enjoy panoramic views from Mawkdok Dympep Viewpoint. Continue exploring Cherrapunji‘s natural wonders including Nohkalikai Falls, Mawsmai Cave, Arwah Cave, Seven Sisters Falls, and Eco Park. Start early after breakfast for an adventurous full-day trek to Nongriat Village. Descend approximately 3,500 steps through lush forests and traditional Khasi villages to reach the world-famous Double Decker Living Root Bridge, an extraordinary bio-engineered bridge created by the Khasi tribes. Spend time exploring the area and, if time and energy permit, continue to the beautiful Rainbow Falls, known for its crystal-clear blue waters. Trek back to the starting point and return to your hotel in Cherrapunji for an overnight stay.

After breakfast, head for an exciting Bamboo Trek, one of Meghalaya’s unique adventure experiences. Walk along bamboo ladders and suspended bamboo pathways while enjoying spectacular views of deep valleys, waterfalls, and dense forests. The trek offers an excellent opportunity to experience the region’s pristine natural beauty and traditional Khasi craftsmanship. After completing the trek, return to Cherrapunji and spend the rest of the day at leisure. Overnight stay in Cherrapunji.

After breakfast, drive towards the crystal-clear waters of Dawki. Enjoy a memorable boat ride on the transparent Umngot River, where the boats appear to float on glass-like water, also visit Suspension Bridge. Later, visit Mawlynnong, famously known as the “Cleanest Village in Asia.” Explore its beautifully maintained pathways, Single Decker Living Root Bridge, and the Sky View Tower, offering panoramic views of the Bangladesh plains. Also visit Bophill Fall. In the evening, drive back to Shillong for an overnight stay.

After an early breakfast, embark on a full-day excursion to Jowai. Visit the breathtaking Phe Phe Falls, one of Meghalaya’s most scenic hidden waterfalls, followed by the stunning Krang Suri Falls, where you can enjoy boating on its mesmerizing crystal-clear turquoise waters. On your return journey to Shillong, stop at the spectacular Laitlum Canyon, offering magnificent panoramic views of the surrounding valleys and rolling hills. Return to Shillong for an overnight stay.

After breakfast, check out from the hotel and drive back to Guwahati. If time permits before your onward journey, you may visit Kamakhya Temple, Umananda Temple. Later, transfer to Guwahati Airport/Railway Station for your onward journey with wonderful memories of Meghalaya.
