The North East region of India comprises eight states - Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Sikkim and Tripura. Amongst these eight states, Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland and Tripura are called the 'Seven Sisters of India' due to their interdependence on each other. These states have multiple similarities in social, economic and political aspects.However, geographically, Sikkim is not a contiguous part of the North East region, as it is separated by the Siliguri corridor/Chicken's neck corridor.

Although in Mawlynnong, the weather is pleasant throughout the year, it's ideal to book your North East Package during the monsoon. Cherrapunji being the wettest place on the earth, the village receives a huge amount of rainfall, and therefore, turns absolutely picturesque with lush greenery all around.If you want to visit Kaziranga National Park, November to April is the best time. To visit Tawang in Arunachal Pradesh people starts to go from September onwards to May even June also. But we suggest to avoid the monsoon season as there are high chances of landslides during monsoon season.
