Meghalaya meaning “Abode of Clouds” is the most mesmerizing hill station of Northeast India and also the most popular. This place has an abundance of attractions for nature lovers whether it’s the double-decker and single-decker root bridge, the Cleanest Village in Asia, crystal clear DAWKI lake or the beautiful LAITLUM CANYON. There is also a multitude of caves and waterfalls in Cherrapunjee, a few kilometres drive from Shillong town. The tallest plunge waterfall, Nohkalikai Falls also present here is a hotbed for tourists in Meghalaya.

The Khongthon Village, known as the whistling village of Meghalaya has special recognition as it follows a unique tradition. Meghalaya also has some interesting pork delicacies be it a simple pork salad called Dohkhlieh or an exotic pork dish called Doh jem.
