Today is one of the most scenic drives of the journey. Travel via the spectacular Sela Pass (13,700 ft), one of the highest motorable mountain passes in India. Stop at the pristine Sela Lake, surrounded by snow-covered mountains for much of the year. Continue to the historic Jaswant Garh War Memorial, dedicated to Rifleman Jaswant Singh Rawat. En route, admire the breathtaking Nuranang (Jung) Waterfall, one of the tallest waterfalls in Northeast India. Arrive in Tawang by evening. Overnight Stay: Tawang
After obtaining the necessary permits, set out on an unforgettable high-altitude excursion to Bumla Pass (15,200 ft) near the Indo-China border. Learn about the region’s military history while enjoying spectacular Himalayan landscapes. Visit the famous Sangestar (Madhuri) Lake, formed after the 1950 earthquake, along with the beautiful PTSO Lake, Heart Lake, and several glacial lakes along the route.
