Tawang Tour – Guwahati, Bhalukpong, Dirang, Tawang, Bomdila & Kamakhya Temple

After breakfast, begin your scenic drive through the mountains towards Dirang.
En route, visit:

Tipi Orchid Research Centre – famous for its collection of Himalayan orchids.
Nag Temple – a small but interesting roadside attraction.
Scenic mountain valleys and forests along the route.
Continue towards Dirang and check in to your hotel.
Later, visit Dirang Monastery and enjoy the beautiful views of the Dirang Valley.

After an early breakfast, begin the spectacular mountain drive towards Tawang.
The journey today is one of the highlights of the entire tour.
En route visit: Sangti Valley – a beautiful valley surrounded by mountains, forests and rivers.
Sela Pass – one of the most spectacular high-altitude mountain passes on the route to Tawang. The pass is around 13,700 ft and is surrounded by snow-covered mountains and high-altitude lakes.
Jaswant Garh War Memorial – a memorial dedicated to Rifleman Jaswant Singh Rawat and the soldiers who fought during the 1962 Indo-China War.
Nuranang/Jung Falls – one of the most spectacular waterfalls in Arunachal Pradesh, dropping approximately 100 metres.
Continue towards Tawang through dramatic Himalayan landscapes.
Arrive in Tawang by evening and check into your hotel.
Overnight: Tawang

After breakfast, explore the cultural and historical treasures of Tawang.
Today you will visit:
Giant Buddha Statue – admire the magnificent Buddha statue overlooking the Tawang landscape.
Tawang Monastery – explore the historic monastery, one of the most important Buddhist monasteries in the region and a major attraction of Tawang.
Spend some time exploring the monastery complex and experiencing the peaceful atmosphere.
Later, visit Tawang War Memorial, built in honour of the soldiers who sacrificed their lives during the 1962 Sino-Indian War.
In the evening, enjoy the Light & Sound Show at the War Memorial, subject to operational schedule and weather conditions.
Return to the hotel for dinner & Overnight

After breakfast, bid farewell to Tawang and begin your return journey towards Bomdila.
Enjoy the spectacular Himalayan scenery while descending gradually towards the lower elevations.
En route, visit Chug Valley, known for its beautiful mountain scenery and peaceful surroundings.
Continue towards Bomdila.
On arrival, visit Bomdila Monastery, an important Buddhist centre offering panoramic views of the surrounding mountains.
Check into your hotel and relax after the day’s journey.
Overnight: Bomdila

After breakfast, begin your scenic drive back to Guwahati.
Enjoy the changing landscape as you descend from the Himalayan foothills towards Assam.
On arrival in Guwahati, check into your hotel.
If time permits, enjoy some shopping at local markets and explore the city.
Later, enjoy a relaxed dinner at one of Guwahati’s restaurants.

After breakfast, proceed for Kamakhya Temple Darshan, one of the most revered Shakti Peethas in India.
After darshan, proceed to Guwahati Airport / Railway Station for your onward journey.
