Assam & Arunachal Tour – Wildlife, Tea and Himalayan Adventure

Visit the magnificent Tawang Monastery, one of the largest Buddhist monasteries in India, followed by the Tawang War Memorial and local markets. Spend the evening exploring Tawang town and experiencing the unique Monpa culture. Overnight at Tawang.

Take an excursion to Bum La Pass, located near the India–China border, subject to permits and weather conditions. On the return journey, visit Sangetsar Lake (Madhuri Lake) and enjoy the spectacular high-altitude Himalayan scenery. Overnight at Tawang.

After breakfast, begin the journey back through the mountains towards Shergaon. Shergaon is a peaceful Himalayan village surrounded by forests, apple orchards and traditional Monpa settlements, offering a wonderful contrast to busy tourist destinations. Overnight at Shergaon.

Enjoy a relaxed morning in Shergaon before driving down from the mountains towards Assam. Along the way, experience the dramatic transition from Himalayan landscapes to Assam’s green plains. Overnight in Guwahati.

After breakfast, enjoy some free time depending on your flight schedule. Later, transfer to Guwahati Airport for your onward journey, taking back memories of Assam’s wildlife, tea gardens and Arunachal Pradesh’s magnificent Himalayan landscapes.
